How to delete your information from Timeslot Business
Version 1.0. Effective 21 October 2026
Timeslot Business is made by Correntum (Pty) Ltd. There are two sets of steps: one for businesses that use the app, and one for their clients. During the pilot, WhatsApp, the booking assistant and push notifications are switched off, so Timeslot Business holds no WhatsApp messages.
If you are a business using Timeslot Business
Steps
- Cancel any bookings you still have in the future. The app will not delete an account while it has future bookings.
- In the app, start the account deletion. You need to have signed in within the last 10 minutes, so you may be asked to sign in again.
- Confirm. Your account is hidden straight away.
If you cannot sign in, or cannot cancel a booking, email support@timeslotbusiness.com. We will ask you to show that the account is yours, normally by writing from the email address on the account. Then we will help you sign back in or cancel the bookings, so that the deletion can go ahead.
How long it takes
Your account is erased about 30 days after you start the deletion. Until then you can cancel the deletion in the app. When the erasure is done, we email you to say so.
What is erased
- Your account: your name, email address, password and settings.
- Your business profile, services, working hours and booking rules.
- All your clients' information and their bookings.
- The activity record of your account.
- Our copies of the emails we sent you.
What is kept, and why
- Proof of deletion. A note that your account was erased, with internal ID numbers and dates and no name or contact details, so that we can show the erasure happened. Those ID numbers can still be linked to a person, so we protect the note like any other personal information. We keep it for 5 years after the erasure and use it for nothing else.
- Our invoices. If you paid us, we keep our invoices and payment records for as long as tax and company law require.
- Backups. We keep the 4 most recent encrypted backups, made by hand every week and stored in South Africa. Your information stays in them until 4 newer backups have replaced the last one that holds it: normally about 28 days, and longer if a weekly backup is missed. If we restore a backup, information erased after that backup was made could come back. We check restored data by hand to find and erase it again, but until we keep our erasure records outside the database, this check could miss some information.
- Copies we do not control. Postmark, which sends our emails, keeps each email for 45 days. If an email to you bounced or was marked as spam, Postmark keeps your address on a list, with no end date, so that it does not send to it again. We can remove your address from it if you ask.
- Your emails to us. We keep emails you sent to our support or privacy address, and our replies, for 3 years after we last deal with the matter. Ask us and we will delete them sooner, unless we need them for a complaint or a legal claim.
Deleting your account does not delete anything you keep elsewhere, such as in your own phone.
If you are a client of a business that uses Timeslot Business
You do not have an account with us. The business that added you is responsible for your information, and we handle it on its behalf.
Steps
- Ask the business to delete your information. It decides, and we act on its instructions.
- Or email privacy@timeslotbusiness.com with the name of the business and the phone number it has for you. We may ask you to show who you are. We pass your request to the business promptly, normally within 2 business days, and help it answer.
If the client is under 18, a parent or guardian can make the request on the child's behalf.
What happens today
We cannot yet delete one client's information on its own. A client's information is erased with the business's account, about 30 days after the business deletes it. Until then, we can give the business a copy of your information, or correct it, on the business's instructions.
What is kept, and why
- Backups. Your information stays in our encrypted backups until 4 newer backups have replaced the last one that holds it: normally about 28 days, and longer if a weekly backup is missed. The same restore limit applies as for businesses, above.
- Copies we do not control. Anything the business keeps in its own phone, diary or records.
Changes to this page
If we change this page, we will put the new version here with a new version number and effective date. If a change is material, we will tell providers by email before it applies.
